Currently I’d have to say I think I fall into BOTH brain categories.

I’m a real lover of the arts. I enjoy a well performed piece of music, as well as playing a bit myself (as can be clearly seen in the picture below). I love to sing to the family, often coming close to hitting high C…they go nuts for it! I also love to view paintings and pictures, truly appreciating their aesthetic. Clearly this all points to me being right-brained.

And for the left-side, I not only have to be mathmatical and calculating in making music, but also in the way I approach revealing my cuteness to others, particularly my family. I don’t want to overwhelm them with too many smiles and too much slobber, so I just try to sneak some in every other moment so as to not kill’em with cuteness. It takes a lot of analytical planning to pull such things off…obviously a left-brained trait.

Usually I just chill in the stroller, cause I enjoy watching Elijah and Mommy and Daddy playing on all the equipment.

Well this time, it was my turn.  I took my first ride in a real swing, with Elijah playing co-pilot in the big-boy swing next to me.

What fun!

But I’ve added some new tricks, thanks to some strengthening and conditioning.

One spectacular move is done using my lovely assistant, Daddy. I straddle his big head and sit on his shoulders. It makes me feel head and shoulders above the rest…I know, lame joke.

Anyway, I just began incorporating solid foods into my diet.  So far the additions include rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas.

Not only are these things delicious, but they make my face look like an expensive piece of abstract art. Seriously, don’t you think someone would pay millions to hang-up a face like this on their wall?

But there have been some changes.  For instance, I have been given the responsibility of giving Daddy a 6am wake-up call, much like you would have a hotel do for you.  I make sure to practice nightly by trying it out on Mama a few times leading up to it.

There’s also these interesting pacifiers on the end of my hands…ten total…that I love to slobber up.  When those aren’t available, I just blow bubbles.

And finally, I’ve also taken up exercise, not out of desire, but out of necessity.  Honestly, I think I have an eating problem…I must have about 8-10 square meals a day!  So I hit the gym.  I do some non-traditional workouts — no, none of that Yoga garbage…that’s just a money-making crock!  I lay back in my bouncy seat and ride an imaginary bike, which is much like a stationary bike, just without the stationary bike.

I’m still suffering from a little bit of jet-lag.  I just can’t seem to get my nights to feel like days and my days to feel like nights.  I’m okay with it, but I think it may be aggravating my elderly housemates (aka Mommy and Daddy).

I also get the munchies a lot.  There just doesn’t seem to be a time when I don’t feel like a snack.  Others are saying that I should space my meals out a bit.  But I don’t know, if the buffet’s going to keep putting out free food, then I’m going to keep eatin’…know what I mean?

Brother Elijah’s a real cool dude.  But he tends to really like Mommy, too, and we struggle sometimes over who gets to sit in her lap.  The other day he walked right up to Mommy while we were snuggling and said, “Mama hold me…put baby on the floor!”

And I’m like, “Dude, you got her for two years to yourself, and now I’m makin’ up for lost time!”

My plane left sometime around 6:00am this morning.  And after several hours of flight attendants running this way and that, I touched down at 10:12am.  Mommy was the greatest, welcoming me with kisses and a warm meal.

For whatever reason, this airport conducts some sort of screening upon arrival, whereby they check height and weight.  For the record, my Brother was slightly more hefty than I am.  My specs were 19-and-three-quarter inches, and 7lbs almost even…and remember, ladies, I’m still single.  And, for the record, I’m officially going by the name Jude, not JJ…cause that name is reserved for my Uncle JJ.

Daddy got us a plush hotel for a couple days, so you can give me a holler while we’re here.  Or, if you’d rather, we can party it up here in the room.

My Roommates

I’ve got a plan, though.  I’ve secured a new home in the same neighborhood.  I get my own room right off of the living quarters of a nice young couple, whom I’ve nicknamed Mommy and Daddy.  There’s also another housemate down the hall named Brother Elijah…he must be a Christian or something.  He’s surely not a monk, because he talks up a storm — I about wet my womb once when he was talking about an abominable snow monster!

If my calculations are correct, my movers should be showing up around March 7th, but I wouldn’t mind getting out of here a little early…I hear the new place has wonderful milkshakes.
